MOSCOW - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has said that the renouncement by Ukraine of its non-aligned status shows how Kyiv is anxious to integrate the country in NATO as quickly as possible.

“No sooner have I written about the bill on Ukraine’s renouncement of its non-aligned status, that Verkhovna Rada hastily approved it. They are so eager to be in NATO …” Medvedev wrote on his Facebook page.
