Russia is making a 'hybrid war' of a new type against Ukraine, head of the Security Service of Ukraine Valentyn Nalyvaichenko has stated.

“A well-planned, cynical, but a new form of war -‘hybrid war’ – is being conducted against Ukraine. The main component of this war is an information war,” he said on the Shuster Live show on Friday night.

Nalyvaichenko said that Ukraine is daily monitoring crimes against the country and sending the evidence collected in reports to the UN Security Council.

In addition, he said that 12 Russians, 80 Ukrainians and citizens of other states were arrested on a charge of terrorism and subversion. He admitted that their cases might be eventually merged into one with a common court.
