The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has urged residents of populated centers captured by members of illegal armed groups in eastern Ukraine to leave their homes.

“On the temporarily occupied territories in eastern Ukraine
terrorists are robbing the local population, abducting people in towns
and seizing private buildings and vehicles. In this regard, we encourage
local residents to leave the territories captured by terrorists,” NSDC
information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a
briefing in Kyiv on Monday, Aug. 4.

He also said that two additional points had been set up near Donetsk
in the village of Dachne, Maryinka district, and in the town of
Schastia, Luhansk region, to meet persons using humanitarian corridors.

Lysenko said that 967 persons from Luhansk region had used the corridor to the town of Schastia.
