US President Barack Obama will meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko in Washington on September 18, the White House has reported.
The visit will highlight the United States’ firm commitment to stand with Ukraine as it pursues democracy, independence, and stability, the White House said.
“President Obama looks forward to discussing with President Poroshenko efforts to pursue a diplomatic resolution to the crisis in eastern Ukraine as well as our continued support for Ukraine’s struggle to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” it said.
