Law enforcement agencies will not allow escalation of conflict in Odesa, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Vitaliy Yarema said at a briefing in Odesa on Saturday, May 3.
He said that the government and law enforcement agencies have
information that provocations are being prepared for May 9, including
the use of arms and explosives. The police will reinforce themselves
with forces from neighbor regions if necessary.
“People could go to streets and celebrate Victory Day,” Yarema said.
