No fighting was reported in Donetsk on Thursday morning, July 31, but the situation remained tense in the city and vehicles carrying armed people dressed in camouflage could be seen on its streets, the city administration said in a press release.

Local residents reported overnight salvoes fired from heavy weapons
presumably in the area surrounding the city’s airport and Tekstylschyk
district. People living in Donetsk’s Kalyninsky and Leninsky district
claim to have heard gunfire last night.

A privately owned house was partially destroyed by a shell in the city’s Adam Mickiewicz Street on Wednesday evening, July 30.

Gas supplies have been disrupted to 2,357 households over the past 24 hours due to continuing fighting in Donetsk.
