You're reading: Poroshenko says 17 Ukrainian servicemen freed from captivity

Seventeen Ukrainian captives, among them National Guard members, troops and fighters of volunteer battalions, have been released from captivity, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.

“Seventeen servicemen have been released form captivity in Donetsk. Among them there are four members of the National Guard, seven troops and six fighters of volunteer battalions,” says a report posted on Poroshenko’s official Twitter account on Nov. 17 evening.
