Horlivka - Power supply has been cut to over 70 percent of buildings and the Gagarin mine in the militant-controlled town of Horlivka in the Donetsk region.

Electric public transportation has come to a halt and bus routes have
been changed as the bridge is out. There is no power supply in several
suburban areas, too.

The blackout forced many shops to close and the operating shops have a
scarce range of products. Only those shops that have their own bakeries
are selling bread.

Two shells hit a gas storage tank and a service building; they sustained partial damage, Concern Stirol workers said.

The shooting continued during the night but it was not clear where it
came from, either they were firing at Horlivka or from Horlivka. A
shell hit an apartment on the ninth floor in the Komsomolets
neighborhood but it did not explode. A fire started and the building was
evacuated. Rescuers are working on the site.

A motor bridge was blasted near the former Korolenko knitting mill.
Local residents reported that a pump-house transformer substation was
damaged.

The militants claimed yesterday to have deterred a Ukrainian army offensive on Horlivka.
