MILAN - Russia will take part in an operation on monitoring the separating line in Ukraine using unmanned aerial vehicles, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

‘There are some questions regarding control of the separating line. In my view, we have advanced quite well here, because we have agreed that we will use unmanned aerial vehicles, modern equipment that helps determine the locations from where strikes are delivered, if such things happen,’ Putin said at a press conference in Milan on Friday.

Italy, France, Germany and Russia have expressed the desire to take part in this mission, he said.

‘Specialists would have to gather on the OSCE forum in Vienna and address technical issues in the near future,’ Putin said
