The Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being (Rospotrebnadzor) has imposed a ban on the supply of goods from another Ukrainian manufacturer - cheese produced by Lozova dairy factory.

“This information was sent to the Federal Customs Service and the Rospotrebnadzor department on the subjects of the Russian Federation,” the press service of Rospotrebnadzor told Interfax.

The authority said that when examining dairy products made by Lozova dairy factory it revealed “breaches of the law in the field of consumer rights protection.”

The sanitary service said that, in particular, when studying the Monastyrsky cheese product containing vegetable oil, it revealed a discrepancy in milk fat content, as well as the mass fraction and the actual mass indicated on the label.

“When studying the Slivochny cheese product with vegetable fat it was established that the information stated on the label on content of protein, milk fat in the fat phase does not correspond to the actual content. The following indicators do not comply with the requirements of technical regulations for milk and dairy products: organoleptic characteristics, content of unsaturated fatty acids and phytosterols,” the press service said.
