The Russian consumer rights watchdog Rospotrebnadzor banned on July 4 milk and dairy imports from several Ukrainian enterprises, Rospotrebnadzor told Interfax on July 4.

‘Rospotrebnadzor has suspended milk and dairy imports to Russia from the Milkiland Ukraine enterprises – Myrhorod cheese-making plant, Chernihiv milk plant, Slavuta butter plant branch of Prometei production company, Lviv milk plant branch from Prometei production company, Romny milk plant from the Ros production company, Sumy milk plant from the Armoat production company, Agrolight subsidiary,’ Rospotrebnadzor press office said.

While testing Smetankovy Dobryana cheese produced by Myrhorod cheese-making plant and King Arthur cheese produced by Milkiland Ukraine subsidiary “non-compliance with the fatty-acid composition demand was found,” Rospotrebnadzor said.

‘Incidents of microbe contamination of products of the Milkiland Ukraine subsidiary exist,’ the watchdog’s press office said.

Dairy imports from the Milkiland Ukraine subsidiary enterprises – Mensky Cheese branch of the Prometei production company and Akhryrsky cheese-making plant branch of the Ros producing company – have been suspended, Rospotrebnadzor said.
