Ukrainian Security Service chief Valentyn Nalyvaichenko has stressed the importance of prosecution of ex-president Viktor Yanukovych, former Ukrainian Security Service head Oleksandr Yakymenko and former Interior Minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko who allegedly took an active part in Donbas destabilization and continued to sponsor the militia.

“We think it is very important for the country to have former President Yanukovych extradited to a Ukrainian court and stand trial. He, former head of the Ukrainian Security Service Mr. Yakymenko and former Interior Minister Zakharchenko are the people who actually prepared and were aware of the upcoming aggression, financed and still continue to finance the deliveries of armaments, the recruitment of militants from the Russian Federation and their transportation to the war actually in the capacity of terrorists,” the Ukrainian Security Service chief said in a program aired by the television channel ICTV on Monday evening.
