Ukrainian political parties will stop their work on the territory of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic in the nearest future, Myroslav Rudenko, co-chairman of the government of the Donetsk People's Republic told Interfax.

“We will create our own parties. Ukrainian parties will not be working here because, for example, Party of Regions has compromised itself. Many other parties, including Svoboda and UDAR, are openly hostile to us,” Rudenko said.

Rudenko assumed that the Supreme Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic can only maintain the representation of the Communist Party of Ukraine, “but it will change considerably, too.”

Rudenko said the administration of the Donetsk People’s Republic has high hopes for the party Novorossiya, which is now being created in the republic.

“We are creating a party called Novorossia. It is formed on principles that are close to the majority of the people of our Republic, and it will defend their interests,” he said.
