You're reading: Seven injured in explosion at checkpoint outside Odesa

Seven people, including a police officer, have been injured in an explosion at a checkpoint near the Seventh-Kilometer Market on the Ovidiopol road in Odesa region.

The injured were taken to hospitals, where they received medical
care, the public relations department of Odesa regional branch of police
reported.

The eyewitnesses reported in social networks that a fragmentation
grenade was thrown at the checkpoint from a passing car at around 4 am.
The injuries sustained by people at the checkpoint are not life
threatening. Interfax-Ukraine currently has no official confirmation of
this information.

This checkpoint was organized by Odesa Euromaidan and police.
