Donetsk, Rostov region - The first 16 KamAZ trucks from Russia's Ukraine-bound humanitarian aid convoy drove into the premises of the Donetsk border checkpoint in the Rostov region, an Interfax correspondent reported from the scene.

These trucks had been parked near the Donetsk checkpoint for the past few days.

For his part, a spokesman for the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service has said that Ukrainian officials have not yet started to check the humanitarian cargo at Russia’s checkpoint.

“As of now, the Ukrainian side has not launched border and customs clearance of this cargo,” the spokesman told Interfax.

Ukrainian border guards and customs officials have already arrived as the Donetsk checkpoint to inspect the Russian aid convoy, he said.
