Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said a group of U.S. senators have sent a letter to U.S. President Barack Obama calling on him to recognize the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics as terrorist organizations.
“Nineteen U.S. senators have sent a letter to Obama calling on him to
recognize the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics as terrorist
organizations,” Klimkin said on Twitter on Monday morning, Aug. 4.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko earlier called for the Donetsk
and Luhansk People’s Republics to be recognized as terrorist
organizations.
