Luhansk - Three civilians were killed and eight more wounded in Luhansk on Saturday, Aug. 2 as a result of armed clashes and shelling of the city, the press service of the Luhansk City Council has reported.

“In the past 24 hours three civilians were killed and eight received
shot wounds as a result of armed clashes and the shelling of the city.
Ambulances responded to a total of 68 calls,” a report issued on Sunday
says.

The destruction of eight facilities, including one school, was recorded.

The endless shelling of the city has damaged life-support systems,
the press center says. “Electricity supplies were partly restored in
conditions of hostilities thanks to intensive and concerted efforts of
experts of utilities’ services. Over 49,000 customers remain without
power supplies and over 5,000 are disconnected from water supplies and
sewage,” it says.
