Moscow - Three customs checkpoints on the Russian-Ukrainian border have suspended operations over problems on the Ukrainian side, the Federal Customs Service (FTS) reported.

“Neither individuals, nor motor vehicles are being cleared through
the customs checkpoints Novoshakhtinsk and Gukovo of the Rostov Customs
Department, and Kuibyshevo of the Taganrog Customs Department because
the Ukrainian checkpoints Dovzhansky, Chervonopartyzansk and Marynivka
are not working,” the FTS said in a statement received by Interfax on
Tuesday, Aug. 5.

It says Russian customs officials are ready to start clearing individuals and motor vehicles through their chekpoints.

The FTS also said that the Ukrainian customs checkpoint Novoazovsk again suspended operations from 12 a.m. until 6.50 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

“The other customs checkpoints on the Russian-Ukrainian border,
controlled by Russia’s Southern Customs Department, are working in an
orderly manner,” it said.
