You're reading: Ukrainian military deny loss of plane in Donetsk region

The press center for the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine has denied the reports published on Wednesday morning, July 30 stating that a Ukrainian military plane had been shot down over the town of Khartsyzsk, Donetsk region.

“All our planes that are flying on combat missions are intact. The
information on the downed plane has not been confirmed,” Vladyslav
Selezniov, the head of the group for reporting on the anti-terrorist
operation, told Interfax-Ukraine.

Andriy Lysenko, a representative of the information center of the
Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, has denied the
information on the downing of a plane over Khartsyzsk.

“All planes were on their combat missions as of 10 a.m. None of them
was shot down,” Lysenko told Interfax-Ukraine on Wednesday morning.

Earlier media reports, which cited eyewitnesses, said the militants
had shot down a Ukrainian military plane over Khartsyzsk. The reports
said several parachutists could be seen in the air.
