The new terminal building at Donetsk airport remains under control of the Ukrainian military, the press center for the anti-terrorist operation in east Ukraine said on Jan. 15 evening.
“The forces defending the Donetsk airport are still holding their position. At 4 p.m. an officer at the new terminal told our press center by phone that fighting continues, the terminal is under our control,” the press center said on Facebook.
Earlier Donetsk militants claimed that they had virtually seized control over the airport.
