A motorcade of the Ukrainian military forces involved in a security operation in southeast Ukraine was ambushed near the town of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region on May 13 according to the Kyiv-based Information Resistance group.

The incident involving the Ukrainian army’s 95th aeromobile brigade
took place near the village of Dmytrivka 20 kilometers from Kramatorsk,
group coordinator Dmytro Tymchuk wrote on Facebook.

Early data suggest that a truck carrying ammunition came under mortar
fire and was destroyed, and a battle ensued, according to the post.
Tymchuk claimed that about 30-40 people were bussed from Kramatorsk to
help the opponents of the Kyiv government, while “helicopters flew
reinforcements for the paratroopers.”

There are fatalities and injuries among security forces, there is no
information about losses on the opposite side, Tymchuk said.
