The assets of State Railways Administration of Ukraine Ukrzaliznytsia, which remain in annexed Crimea and the territory of Donbas temporarily uncontrolled by the Ukrainian authorities, will be included in the charter capital of JSC Ukrainska Zaliznytsia created during the corporatization of Ukrzaliznytsia.

The director for reform, property and legal policy at Ukrzaliznytsia, Yevhen Kravtsov, said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine that in order to assess this property, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a separate resolution.

“Realizing that the appraiser is unable to fulfill all the tasks entrusted in this matter, because he does not have full access to these assets, a different procedure was foreseen. It considers the book value of the property, located in these areas, which will be taken into account when injected in the charter capital of the joint-stock company,” he said.

According to Kravtsov, after Ukraine gets access to these areas and Ukrzaliznytsia gets access to its property, its assessment and the increase of the charter capital by the corresponding figure will be carried out.

“Of course, these are the assets of Ukrainian railways, they belong to Ukraine as state property. Legally we do not refuse this property, it is ours, we declare this publicly,” the expert said.
