State Railways Administration of Ukraine Ukrzaliznytsia has inspected the readiness of more than 600 bomb shelters being on the balance sheet of railways.
According to the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia, civil protective shelters can serve as a temporary shelter for 61,000 workers.
Such shelters are at all junction sorting and passenger stations, railway enterprises: depots, factories and other entities. According to the regulations, these facilities are designed to accommodate the largest working shift of the object.
Hr 11.6 million has been used for their repairs in the last five years. Now sewerage systems, those of water supply, electricity and air outlets are mostly intact.
