Brussels -- The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has demanded a thorough investigation into claims of the use of cluster munitions during the conflict in Ukraine's eastern regions.

“Reports on the use of cluster munitions in both urban and rural areas must be urgently and thoroughly investigated,” the OHCHR said in a new human rights monitoring report released on Thursday.

The authors of the document also requested an inquiry into “all alleged violations and abuses of international human rights law and violations of international humanitarian law.”
