Poltava – As many as 24,000 displaced persons from Ukraine's eastern regions have been registered in the Poltava region, located in the south of the country, Poltava Region Governor Valeriy Holovko told reporters.

Half of them are staying in Poltava and the rest in other parts of the region, he said.

“If we look at the number of displaced persons per 1,000 citizens in the region, it means that the Poltava region has taken the largest number of residents of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions,” he said.
