The composition of the new European Commission includes people with rich organizational and political experience who are ready to respond to economic, political and strategic challenges facing Europe, President-elect of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker said on Sept. 10.
While presenting at a press conference in Brussels the distribution of portfolios among members of the future EU’s executive body, he said: “I am convinced that it is a winning team.”
Juncker said that his commission included nine former prime ministers and deputy prime ministers, 19 former ministers, seven returning commissioners and eight former members of the European Parliament.
