Police say four people have been shot to death at a pharmacy on New York's Long Island during an apparent robbery.
Suffolk County police say officers responded to Haven Drugs, in Medford, east of New York City, just before 10:30 a.m. Sunday after getting a call about gunfire.
Chief of Detectives Dominick Varrone says the dead included two employees and two customers.
Investigators believe that a single gunman was responsible for the shooting. The shooter fled the pharmacy, and no suspects were in custody.
Officials weren’t immediately releasing additional details about the shooting.
