You're reading: Wikileaks Julian Assange attends London protest

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is attending a demonstration in London — part of worldwide protests against corporate greed and austerity measures.

Assange traveled to London from his friend Vaughan Smith’s country mansion in Suffolk, eastern England. Assange is living there on bail as he fights extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted for questioning over claims of rape and sexual molestation made by two women.

Smith said Assange planned to attend Saturday’s Occupy Wall Street demonstration and then return home by 10 p.m. to meet the terms of his curfew.
