The wolf attacked the victims in Velyky Sukhodil in Luhansk region on Sunday, according to Ihor Krol of the Emergency Ministry. A village resident shot the wolf and its head was submitted to veterinary officials to determine if the animal carried rabies.
The victims are in stable condition in a local hospital, according to the Interfax news agency.
Krol said it was the second reported wolf attack this year.
