You're reading: Daughter: German doctors to visit Tymoshenko before hearing of debt case

KHARKIV – Doctors from the Charite Clinic in Berlin will return to Kharkiv to continue the treatment of former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko at Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 before the next court hearing of the criminal case on the activities of the United Energy Systems of Ukraine (UESU) Corporation due on Aug. 14.

“I think they will arrive either on Sunday or on Monday,” the
ex-premier’s daughter Yevhenia Tymoshenko told journalists in Kharkiv on
Thursday.

As reported, the court scheduled the next hearing of the UESU case for August 14.

On July 30, the doctors from the Charite Clinic asked for Tymoshenko to be given an eight-week period of rest.

First Deputy Health Minister and the head of the international
medical commission for Tymoshenko’s treatment, Raisa Moiseyenko, said
that the court would take into account the doctors’ recommendations.
According to her, Ukrainian and German doctors also recommended a
reduction in the number Tymoshenko’s visits.

In turn, Tymoshenko’s defense lawyer, Serhiy Vlasenko, said he
doubted that the court would take into account the recommendations of
the doctors and provide his client with a period of rest.
