The European Party of Ukraine strongly condemns the incident and urges the country’s law enforcement agencies to investigate it immediately. The protesters, who are citizens of Ukraine and current members of parliament, didn’t violate any laws when staying in Ukrzaliznytsia’s Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 in Kharkiv, and acted within the Constitution and laws of Ukraine,” the party’s press service said.
The party sent a letter about the incident to all foreign embassies in Ukraine and to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
As reported, Ukrainian lawmakers Oleksanrda Kuzhel, Tetiana Sliuz, and Liudmyla Denisova, members of the Batkivschyna United Opposition, who came to visit Tymoshenko in hospital and then refused to leave, said they were forcibly removed from the hospital on Friday morning.
