“Yulia Tymoshenko, as the leader of the united opposition, has addressed various law enforcement agencies in various member states of the European Union with requests to investigate into numerous corrupt schemes used by high-ranking officials of Ukraine,” the lawyer said at an online conference hosted by the LigaBusinessInform agency on Friday.

Vlasenko specified that he meant “the so-called privatization by the team of [Ukrainian President] Viktor Yanukovych of Ukrtelecom, derricks owned by [Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister] Yuriy Boiko, corrupt actions during the construction of Euro 2012 facilities, as well as illegal privatization of Mezhyhirya [the residence of the Ukrainian president].”

Vlasenko added that the U.S. Congress and Senate are to consider draft resolutions on introduction of various sanctions against the Ukrainian authorities, in particular drawing up of a black list of Ukrainian officials that are not welcomed in the United States, as well as freezing of assets of the Yanukovych family in the United States.
