You're reading: Ukrainian producers offer cheap high-quality furniture, accessories for home

Just a couple years ago a customer who was looking for a high-quality furniture in Ukraine had only a few options: an outdoor market that offers old-fashion items or luxury shops with unreasonably high prices. Now the Ukrainian producers who make stylish affordable stuff of the first-class materials are easily found on the web. Kyiv Post takes a look at some of them:

WoodWerk

WoodWerk is a brand of the Ukrainian-made wooden tables, bureaus, chairs, chest of drawers and cabinet furniture designed in minimalistic or vintage styles. The company also offers accessories for home as plaids, mirrors, candlesticks and cutting boards for a kitchen.

WoodWerk has two productions in Kyiv and Yaseniv, Lviv Oblast. The brand is a daughter company of Buffalo Group Ltd, Ukrainian-Dutch producer of billiard tables. The prices vary from Hr 1,450 for a chair to Hr 15,200 for a chest of drawers.

Gagarin

Gagarin is a producer of cushioned furniture that makes sofas, armchairs and poufs. The company’s name points to the iconic Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the first person who took s space flight. The furniture is designed in simple forms and catchy bright colors.

The production of the startup, which was launched in 2013, is available in 36 Ukrainian cities, says Gagarin’s web-site. The prices for a sofa starts from Hr 5299. The brand has an own shop in Kyiv on Bazhana 24/1 Street.

Indigo Wood

Indigo Wood’s website says it is a brand of the furniture for kids that “grows with them.” The furniture consists of the adjustable details that allow fixing the height or size while the child is growing. The company produces baby cots, cradles, tables, chairs.

Indigo Wood’s furniture is mostly made of Carpathian beech and Finnish plywood, according to the company’s website. The minimalistic design of their products fits to the modern interior and the pastel color palette that doesn’t irritate a child. Average price for chair and table is Hr 5000, the same price for a cot.

The Glass Garden

The brand offers unusual mini gardens in geometrical glass pots that turns the flowers into the monumental piece of arts. The price of the composition depends on the type of a chosen pot – the simplest one that is designed basically as a glass box with flowers costs Hr 840. More sophisticated pots that consist of some geometrical figures and get fastened to the walls or ceiling cost Hr 1,100-1,400.

The flowers inside don’t need a special care as succulents retain water in arid climates or soil conditions.

The Glass Garden was founded in 2014 and don’t have an own shop – all the items are sold through their website.

Hommie Interior

Hommie Interior is a classical and vintage luxury cushioned furniture, custom made kitchens and home décor. The company focusses on the sofas and armchairs with curly arms and baroque-styled details.

The producer has a shop in Kyiv at Kazimir Malevich Street 15 and collaborates with AVEO Interior Salon in Vinnytsya. The prices start from Hr 10,500 for an armchair and Hr 18,500 for a bed or sofa.
