Lviv Jazz Orchestra

The Lviv Jazz Orchestra is touted as the biggest jazz band in Eastern Europe. In this show, they play a collection of the well-known old jazz hits by Ray Charles, Etta James, Michael Buble, and others.

Spotlight’

“Spotlight,” a drama film nominated for the Oscars, will be screened in Kyiv in English on the day of the Academy Awards ceremony – Feb. 28. The movie tells the true story of how a group of Boston Globe journalists in 2001 investigated cases of child sex abuse by Roman Catholic priests.

Exhibition of film cameras

This exhibition sets out the history of the film camera through 50 exhibits – old cameras that were produced from 1937 to 1990 that have long been out of use, having been replaced by digital cameras. The exhibits are from a private collection.

‘Iyov’ (opera)

The opera-requiem “Iyov” is the latest creation of director Vlad Troitskyi, the mastermind behind the Dakh Theater and the popular music bands Dakh Daughters and DakhaBrakha. The show is based on the biblical story of Iyov (Job).

Hurts

The British band Hurts are to perform in Ukraine once again. This time, the band, led by pop icon Theo Hutchcraft, will present their third album, “Surrender.”
