A global celebration of Irish culture comes to Kyiv on St. Patrick's Day on March 17, and will continue through the end of the week. Check out the Kyiv Post's selection of Irish events and special offers in Kyiv pubs.

Irish cinema

Two of the movies of the Irish Film
Festival, brought to Kyiv by popular annual Molodist Film Festival, will be
screened on St. Patrick’s Day: “The Summit” (2012) directed by Nick Ryan, and
“The Irish Pub” (2013) by Alex Fegan.

Adventure documentary “The Summit”
tells an unpredictable story of 22 climbers trying to reach the K2 mountain in
Pakistan, the second highest mountain in the world. “The Irish Pub,” another
documentary, captures the essence of pub culture in Ireland, told by pubs’
owners and guests from around the world. The movies are screened in English
with Ukrainian subtitles.
