A capella festival

A two-day festival for a capella singers will include an A Capella Battle for young bands and a gala concert. The bands will present both cover versions of famous songs and their original songs. The audience will vote for the winner. The concert headliner is Pikkardiyska Tertsiya, Ukraine’s most famous a capella band.

Black-and-white art

The “Classified” art exhibition features the black-and-white works of three Ukrainian artists – Inara Bahirova, Valeria Trubina and Taia Halahan. Bahirova depicts scenes of the Hollywood’s Golden Age, Trubina shows X-rayed skeletons of things and Halahan paints post-punk people-machines using images from classic paintings.

‘Loss. In memory of Babi Yar’

PinchukArtCentre presents an international group exhibition featuring the installations and paintings by Christian Boltanski, Berlinde De Bruyckere and Jenny Holzer. The exhibit is dedicated to the tragedy of Babi Yar: a mass murder of 34,000 Jews by German Nazis over the course of two days in 1941.

‘The Beaux’ Stratagem’ (theater play screening)

A comedy by George Farquhar staged by Simon Godwin for British Royal National Theatre will be screened in Kyiv Cinema as part of the “British Theater in Cinema” series. The screening is in English with Ukrainian subtitles.

Travelage Forum

Famous traveler and TV host Dmytro Komarov, Ukrainian astronaut Leonid Kadeniuk, and six other speakers with impressive travel records will share their experience in a discussion. Find out how to overcome a fear of travel and get inspired for adventures. The presenters speak English.

Kyiv Wine Festival

Fifty winemakers from 15 countries will be represented at yet another wine festival in Kyiv. Around 500 wines including the iconic Burgundy, rare Brunello, Barolo, custom orange, organic and even biodynamic wine will be sold by glass. The program includes a meeting with famous sommelier Giorgio Pelisero, lectures, barbecue, oyster bar, music, and a fantastic view of Kyiv.
