You're reading: The long-awaited Red Hot Chili Peppers

Seven months might normally be a bit too long of a notice for a concert, but not for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The word spread quickly in October, when base guitarist Flea tweeted that the band would be coming to Kyiv in July.

So, for those few fans who missed the memo, you better hurry to get in line for tickets as they are selling out fast! After a five-year break, the band came out with their 10th album in August 2011 entitled “I’m with you.”

The record introduces for the first time the new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who came to RHCP in 2009 after the guys said goodbye to John Frusciante. The cover art for the album, designed by the controversial yet most expensive British artist Damien Hirst, is an attention grabber–a close-up of a fly sitting on a pink capsule-pill.

With 85 million copies of their albums sold worldwide and seven Grammy trophies sitting comfortably in their homes, the Chili Peppers surely needs no introduction. So, polish up your lyrics of Californication and Suck my Kiss to get ready.
