Unique museum invites to see underground sculptures

The Borshchiv district in Ternopil
Oblast invites everybody to the only in Ukraine underground sculpture museum.
It took about 20 students and graduates of art higher educational institutions
and amateurs-artists from Ternopil and Lviv three days to create the art
object. Participants of the first expedition were accompanied by instructors
who learned how to move along underground routes.Initiators
and creators of the museum assure that in the nearest future the object will be

An independent website “no corruption” will be served as an online platform for informing about corruption in all regions of Ukraine.

One of Ukraine’s steps to free itself from corruption

Non-governmental
organization activists and journalists from different regions of Ukraine have an
opportunity to inform about corruption cases on an independent web-site ‘No corruption’.
On the information the web-resource will be served as an online platform for
posting corruption investigations articles written by both professional
journalists and public activists. About 200 people are allegedly ready to join
the project as an effort to minimize the phenomenon in Ukraine.

‘No
corruption’ web-site project is going to attract various experts and specialist
for discussion on different themes.

Yenakiyevo metallurgical plant got €100 million on air diffuser construction

Air Liquide,
French group of companies, invests €100 million in construction of an air diffuser at
Yenakiyevo metallurgical plant located in Donetsk Oblast. Such an intention was
announced by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Ukraine Alain Remy
at the Fifth International investment summit held in Donetsk on Oct.18. On Guy Salzgeber, a
member of Air Liquide’s Executive
Committee, Vice-President for North and Central Europe, the company
also intends to create favorable technical conditions for maintaining a high
level of its long-term development at Ukrainian market. Air Liquide group of
companies is a leader in production of industry, health and environment
protection gases; it also delivers oxygen, azoth, hydrogen and others.

 Chernivtsi Oblast joins the UN ‘Millennium development goals’

On Oct.16 the United Nations Development Program, Chernivtsi regional state administration and the
Institute on demographic research signed a Memo on Millennium development
goals. The Memo includes informing the society about the Development goals, collecting
and analyzing the information on local potential development and creating a
strong platform for the regional development with the Memo development goals
considered.

The largest world’s Jewish center opened in Dnipropetrovsk on Oct.16

The world’s largest Jewish center opens in
Dnipropetrovsk

On Oct.16 a 22-story Jewish center Menorah, the largest in the world,
opened in Dnipropetrovsk. It took 13 years to build the center. The museum
will dispose the most large-scale Holocaust museum equipped with the latest
high-tech techniques, a 4-star modern hotel, bank offices, shops, restaurants
and cafes. The guests can also visit the whole Jewish quarter presented by
copies of dwelling and praying houses and matzo bakeries located in the city at
the beginning of the 20th century. The Museum demonstrates exhibits
on everyday life, history and religion such as documents, clothes, photos and
other things. The total area of the Museum is more than 2000 square kilometers.

The solemn opening ceremony was attended by 400 people, representatives
from different countries.
