The Embassy of Ukraine to the United States supports the Ukrainian public project ‘Go Ukraine! Let’s Go!’

European volunteers will share their experience with Kharkiv Oblast

European Voluntary Service (EVS) volunteers will come to Borova district (Kharkiv Oblast) to share their experience in the framework of Youth in Action-2 program. According to Yevheniy Zhuk, the Borova district council head, the accreditation of the Agency on EVS social and economic development was prior given to oblast centers such as Lviv, Donetsk and Sumy only. Three EVS volunteers from the Council of Europe countries come to the district for the period of at least 9 months.

On May 4, the SAP Arena in the German city of Manheim is the venue of a fight between a Ukrainian Volodymyr Klitschko, heavyweight world champion, and a Francesco Pianeta, a 28-year Italian boxer. The Ukrainian sportsman’s competitor has fought 28 times; he won 27 times (15 knockouts included) and got 1 draw.

Turkey opens its consulate in Lviv

At the meeting between the Lviv Oblast administration and the Ambassador of Turkey to Ukraine Mehmet Samsar, the sides discussed matters on establishment of closer tourist relations, promotion of Turkish business and attract of Turkish investments to the regional economics. On his turn the foreign diplomat informed about his readiness to speed up opening of the Honorary Consulate in Lviv by stressing that the number of Turkish tourists coming to the cultural capital of Ukraine is annually increased.

At the conference ‘Strategic Convergence Around the International Money Order” held under the auspices of the Universal Postal Union, Le Groupe La Poste and La Banque Postale on Feb.28-March.1 in Paris, the Ukrainian National postal operator was awarded with the certificate on quality performance in electronic money orders exchange with France.
