Ukraine to host anti-human
trafficking conference

This summer Crimea will
host the OSCE Youth Summit, to be preceded by a human trafficking prevention conference held in June, Kyiv. According to
the Minister of Foreign Affairs, this will help attract young
people from OSCE countries to participate in fighting human trafficking, to
inform young people about modern challenges
and threats to security, and promote
understanding and tolerance.

Lviv hosts second Galician
cuisine fest

On June 28-30 Lviv will host its second gastronomic festival
Lviv On The Plate, where guests will be able to enjoy Galician cuisine and help revive local culinary traditions. The festival includes a presentation fair,
tasting dishes, traditional drinks and regional
seasonal foods, and a gala
dinner.

The event is aimed
at reviving local
cuisine, uncovering new recipes,
promoting the consumption of quality local
products and improving the level of customer service.

Ukrainian obstetricians can improve their
professional skills in Simferopol

On May 30
Ukraine opened its first birth delivery training center in Simferopol. There medical specialists can practice on
a dummy imitating a mother giving birth
to a child, and saving newborns from various threats. The simulators are computerized and can be programmed to run various behavior scenarios and typical
problem situations that medical staff encounter. The center opening was supported by the Ukrainian-Swiss program Mother’s and Child’s Health.

Jazz wave coming to Odesa

Master-Jam Fest in Odesa will gather more than 40 jazz improvisers from 16
countries, including the USA, Cuba,
Indonesia, Russia, the Netherlands, Spain,
Israel, Austria, Ukraine, etc.
During the four day event, held on June 5-8, prominent virtuosos
and youth battle in improvisation duels.
Competitions
in swing, bibos, ballad, jazz-rock, funk, Latin American jazz and fusion will be held on June 5-7, and will be followed by a gala concert on June 8.

Active divers will clean the coast near Kara-Dag, Crimea

In early June some 15
divers from Kryvyi Rih,
Kirovohrad, Simferopol and Olenivka
village (Crimea) will participate
in the first non-profit campaign to clean the coastal bottom
near the mountain range Kara Dag
(Crimea). The initiative is timed to coincide with International Cleanup Day.
