Korea keeps
investing in
Ukrainian technology development

Korea and Ukraine are
strengthening
their
cooperation
in the
high-tech
and space research
areas.
The first
Korean satellite carried by a Ukrainian rocket is set to be launched
on
Aug.
22, 2013.
According
to the
Korean Ambassador
to
Ukraine
Kim Eun-joong
cooperation between
the two countries also
includes Korea’s contribution to building
the Odesa
liquefied
natural gas
terminal, the
construction of
high-speed
trains in Donetsk and assisting
in the construction of the Dnipropetrovsk
metro.
Ukrainian
officials
hope
that Korea will also invest in the future in
aviation,
agriculture, housing, machine-building, energy and transport
infrastructure.

Oksana Mas, was sold at the London Art
for Life charity program auction. The artwork made
of wooden
Easter eggs sold for
$25,000.

Art for Life,
an innovative program from the British charity fund The
Chelsea Westminster Health Charity, supports
research and prevention
of brain injures in prematurely-born
babies.

Ukrainian designer
to feature in
Vogue Talents 2013

Ukrainian brand BEVZA can
be seen in Vogue Talents 2013, a side
project of the Italian Vogue. The
offer to send photos and sketches was sent
to a Ukrainian designer, Svitlana Bevza,
from a Vogue headhunter,
Alessandro Butstsi, who had highly
evaluated the Ukrainian woman’s winter collection.

This
May Svitlana Bevza won
the Best Designer of Women’s Clothing
nomination at the Best Fashion Awards 2013.

Ukraine, Poland and
Germany unite for orphans’
future

On
July 9, Ukraine, Poland and Germany
presented a joint
project titled Our Children, which
aims to help orphans and crisis family children.
The project
includes opening special social
centers and finding
homes and families for children from
Eastern Partnership countries. Such an
initiative demonstrates that alongside economic, legal and
administrative reforms, EU Eastern policy includes
a social dimension.

Kyiv to
organize street food fest

On
July 20-21 Kyiv will host its
first street food fest, aimed at changing
city residents’ attitude toward
street food. Around 10 to 12 snack
outlets are expected to participate, giving
guests the chance to try Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and
American cuisine.
