Target investments to make great contribution
into Ukraine’s tourism

The
recently-adopted Ukraine’s Concept on Tourism and Resort Development by 2022 projects
an increase in tourist flows to 50 million people a year. The stated way to
achieve such results is by identifying the most prospective specializations in
the regions and targeting financial aids towards these areas. For example, Poltava
Oblast is proposed to focus on medical and green tourism development, the eastern
regions of the country are meant to specialize in industrial tourism, while Crimea
should develop its resorts.

The program
also foresees changes to Ukraine’s tourism legislation so as to meet European
standards, create one million jobs in tourism, facilitate traveling for
disabled people and launch a system of sharing information on Ukraine’s tourism
facilities and increasing tourists’ safety level.
