Ukraine on road to promote e-government system

On Oct. 29, the
official presentation of the knowledge management portal “We develop e-government” will be held at the National Center for business
and cultural cooperation “Ukrainian Dim.” The future resource was developed by the Ukraine’s State Agency on Science,
Innovations and Informatization, the National Center for e-government,
the Association of Local Self-Government ‘Cities of e-government of Ukraine’
being supported by the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of
Ukraine and the Municipal Center of e-government in Vinnytsia .

The knowledge management portal ‘We develop e-government’ serves as a unique platform for
collecting, storing and sharing information, knowledge and the best practices, the mechanism to form policy, monitor and assess the quality of e-government implementation, distant
education provision, and an interactive tool to organize the annual National Competition
on e-government, etc.

 Ukraine adopts national space
program

On Sept. 5, the Verkhovna Rada of
Ukraine adopted the national space program for 2013-2017 years to the sum
of Hr 2.58 billion. The document provides for creation of
the GIS, the system
of to monitor emergencies on space information; launch of three spacecraft and rocket complex; facilitation of creating the national satellite
communication system, advanced rocketry and its manufacture technologies;
facilitation of commercial
exploitation of launch
carriers and development of international cooperation with Russia, the EU,
Brazil, Canada, Belarus, the USA, Kazakhstan, and increase of cooperation with the
European Space Agency as well.

 This fall from Kherson might
launch flights to
Kyiv and Istanbul

In fall 2013
the
Kherson
Regional Council ‘Kherson Airlines’ utility company plans to launch flights to Kyiv and Istanbul. The flight duration to both cities is 1 hour 40 minutes. The ticket to Kyiv allegedly costs 500-1000 hryvnias,
price for tickets to Istanbul will be calculated on commercial demand.

 An exhibition by unique children
to be held in Kyiv

Sept.14-15 a grand charity marathon-concert ‘Let’s make
the world kinder’ takes
place at the entertainment shopping center ‘Ocean Plaza’, Kyiv. The event is to
raise funds for
ill orphans living in the boarding school in Ladyzhyn city, Vinnytsia Oblast. The marathon
is organized by a volunteer
organization ‘Blahodiynyk’.

Alongside with performances by famous Ukrainian singers and artists,
the event program includes a unique exhibition of art works by children
from Ladyzhyn
boarding house such as items of glass beads, beads, appliques, postcards, and art workshops as well.

 Ukrainian sportsman win the Go
international championship

Artem
Kachanovskyy, a native of Rivne, won the world’s Go champion title. His victory became a
real sensation cause all prize places had been earlier gone to representatives of Asian
countries only.

Artem is a multiple
champion of Ukraine, silver and bronze winner of the continental championships.
