Mobile application for eyesight
diagnostics is presented in Odesa

Ukraine’s first smartphone and tablet application for eye
diagnostics and training ‘’Dobre bachu’ (‘See well’) was presented at the
Filatov Odesa Institute in Odesa.
The app includes two simple tests for adults and children, thie first one to diagnose
eyesight, the second to relieve eye strain. There are also exercises for toddlers designed as
games, funny
musical rhymes that train eye muscles. The exercises should be
daily done for 15 minutes.

The ‘Dobre bachu’ app are downloaded into smartphones and tablets for free.

 

The first
website on Ukrainian diaspora in Slovakia launched

Miroslav Iliuk created the first Ukrainian information
resource ‘Ukrainians of Slovakia: life style and activity’. The ukrajinci.sk web-site
creation was caused by absence of functional, actualized and informative online
resource on Ukrainian national minority living in Slovakia. All expenses on the
resource creation were paid by Miroslav.

This is Slovakia where the Ukrainian Cultural
Center has been recently opened. The institution will serve as an editorial
office of Ukrainian periodicals, library and venue for cultural events.

Crimea is preparing a new
medical tourism product

This November Yalta will open the first ‘The Center
for mud-based rejuvenation’ to
function at the ‘Yalta-Intourist’ hotel. The
center will provide services with the latest equipment applied in 16 treatment rooms of the
hotel.

The rejuvenation procedure is to be done with therapeutic mud from the Saki lakes. Overall there are
about 35 salt
lakes with therapeutic
muds
on the peninsula.

Ukrainian government approves national agricultural complex plan

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the strategy for the agricultural sector development
up to 2020. The

Cambridge University
launches free
Ukrainian language courses

In the 2013 academic year ,the Slavonic Studies department
of Cambridge University launched free Ukrainian
language courses.

The program offers the students to learn
Ukrainian language at three levels such as elementary, intermediate and advanced. At the
end of the year the students pass the test on understanding the language by ear,
and practicing written language skills.
