New tourist
attraction opened in Zakarpattia
On Oct. 26, the first stage of the Schönborn Park reconstruction
was unveiled in Voevodyno district, Zakarpattia Oblast. The every object there has
its own symbolic meaning. For instance, the entrance gate has 4 base spikes and
12 spikes symbolizing the number of seasons and months in a year respectively.
There are also two towers, Hungarian and Austrian, with the coats of arms and
flags of the both countries. The gate is guarded by men dressed in Austrian and
Hungarian clothes of the 19th century.
Moreover, visitors can see a bridge of four
Evangelists, St.John acting watermill, Elizabeth and Franz Josef springs, a garden
shaped as the Celtic druids calendar, massive crosses symbolizing the Old and
New Testaments; Turske island contoured as the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1867,
a mini-museum ‘Turska Valley’ and many other interesting attractions.

Doctors in
Luhansk conducted a unique kidney transplantation surgery
The doctors at the Luhansk Regional Hospital conducted
the first operation on kidney transplantation funded by local authorities. The
transplantation process was participated by doctors’ team from Zaporizhia and
Lugansk regions including nephrologists, anesthesiologists-resuscitation
specialists, interventional surgeons, urologists, medical laboratory
technicians and others. Overall, there were 50 experts involved in the surgery.
This November Luhansk local authorities plan to fund another
three kidney transplantation surgeries.

Myrhorod resort is the best in the world
The Ukrainian resort Myrhorod (Poltava Oblast) was
recognized as the best on complex approach to treatment process. The strong
sides of the resort are favorable natural resources for rest and excellent medical
and diagnostic base.
At present ‘Myrhorod’ resort consists of 4 sanatoria, clinic
and balneomud hospital. The guests are offered to undergo over 300 diagnostic

Lviv might
host the Winter Olympics 2022
Ukraine submitted an official declaration on application
for hosting the Winter Olympic Games 2022 in Lviv to the International Olympic
Committee This step might encourage both promotion of sports and tourism in
Ukraine and economic development, investment increase, jobs creation and
discover of Ukraine included.
The city-host of the 24th Winter Olympic
Games will be announced at the IOC session in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) planned
for July, 2015.

An 8-year-Ukrainian girl won the world
An 8-year-old girl, Valeria Davydenko, got a gold
medal at the 7th International festival on children’s and youth circus groups,
schools and artists ‘Circus future’. Valeria performed in the junior category
(under 12 years) and showed ‘Thumbelina’ number that brought her a victory.
Overall, the junior category was presented by artists
from Russia, France, Latvia, Germany, the USA, Belarus, Sweden and others.
