Airport is recognized internationally

At the World Routes Forum 2013, held in Las Vegas, the Kyiv
International Airport (Zhyliany) got the prestigious World Routes Awards, – it ranked the third in ‘The world’s
short-haul and medium-haul flight airports, under 4m Passengers’ category. At present time the Ukrainian airport
representatives are preparing for the next world forum on air route development
to take place on Sept.20-23,2014 in Chicago.

 Ukrainians in Austria cookedeuro borshch

Young people from Chernivtsi region who are
studying in Vienna organized an interesting flashmob to support events in
modern Ukraine. They cooked Ukrainian national soup, borshch, and treated local
natives. Apart from the flashmob, Ukrainians distributed information leaflets
to help Austrians to understand better what is going on in Ukraine. As a
result, people of Vienna could both taste the Ukrainian treat and learn more
about democratic changes in Ukraine.

Smile as a medicine is well-practiced in Dnipropetrovsk hospitals

A group of people dressed as clowns visit
children’s departments of hospitals in Dnipropetrovsk and bring the patients
favorable atmosphere to recover. As ‘medicines’ unusual doctors use balloons,
soap bubbles, jokes, red ‘noses’ and small-button theatre. Such an art-therapy
make real miracles cause the children smile, get positive emotions and strength
enough to feel better or even recover completely. The volunteers invite other
people to join their initiative and bring happiness to the ones to deserve it.

Natives of Ivano-Frankivsk city plan
to set up a Christmas song record

On Jan.14, local natives of Dolyna city,
Ivano-Frankivsk region, organize a cultural and art event ‘Rozkoliada’ where it
is planned to set up a record in ‘Mass Christmas song performance’ category.
The initiators are waiting for about 3,000 people.

Apart from singing part, the visitors can see
performances of Ukrainian-style verteps and hear folk bands from the Dolyna
district.
