Last week, the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency published a report entitled Russia Military Power 2017. In particular, it indicates that Moscow regards the U.S. and its NATO partners as the main threat to Russian security, its geopolitical ambitions and, most importantly, the current government in the Kremlin.

“For the first time since the end of the Cold War, the United States recognizes that Russia poses a threat to their country.” says Leonid Polyakov, former Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, chairman of the Expert Council of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Studies (CACDS).
