Animated 3-D feature goes to Cartoon Movie Forum
Ukraine’s first animated 3-D feature ‘Mavka. The Forest Song’ will be presented at the forum Cartoon Movie to be held in Bordeaux on March 8-10. The film will be pitched in the category ‘Concept’. Overall, the forum will present 56 feature projects.
Cartoon Movie Forum is a pitching and co-pro forum for animated feature films that annually presents 50 features at different production stages: concept, development and production. Within two days producers have the opportunity to pitch their film project in order to speed up financing, find co-producers and interest international distributors. Since the forum creation in 1999, 268 films found financing, representing a total budget of 1.8 billion euro.

Ukrainian culture museum in Newton invites to get more
Since moving to the United States in 2005 Maria Dovganiuk from Cherkasy has brought hundreds of Ukrainian culture and art items. The woman decided to put all artifacts together and open Ukrainian culture museum in her house basement (Newton, State of Iowa).
The museum exhibits national costumes, hats, maps of ancient and modern Ukraine, reproductions of famous artists and their portraits, photos, dishes and clothes, embroidered towels, dolls, amulets, eggs and other Ukrainian lifestyle items.
Maria tells the museum guests the story of Kievan Rus, famous Ukrainians, folk traditions etc. After the tour the woman treats the visitors with dumplings and pancakes with cottage cheese.

Snow sculpture in China: Odesa students win third prize
Students of the Faculty of Graphic Art of K.Ushynsky South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University (Odesa) won the 3rd place at the 9th International University Students Snow Sculpture Competition held in the city of Harbin, China. Odesa students made a composition called ‘The road to perfection’.
