Museum of miniature Ukrainian castles opens in Kamianets-Podilskyi

Kamianets-Podilskyi invites to attend the Museum of Miniatures ‘Castles of Ukraine’. The museum covers 1200 square meters and here you can see 16 most famous landmarks of Ukraine. The museum works from 9 am to 12 pm. The ticket costs Hr 30-40 (for adults), Hr 20-30 (for children under 12) and the entrance for children under 6 is free.

‘Ukrainian women in Kuwait’, a beautiful photo project starts

‘Ukrainian women in Kuwait’, a photo project initiated by the Ukrainian community in Kuwait, was launched. The project is to show life of Ukrainian woman in different elements of the Middle East: the sea and the wind; old town with its history, green and modern part of the city and endless desert.
The project is presented by Ukrainian women who, on different reasons, are living in Kuwait now.

19th vyshyvanka march in Kyiv

May 27, the 19th vyshyvanka march will be held in Kyiv. The event is dedicated to the birthday of the capital of Ukraine. The event’s slogan is ‘Create Ukrainian culture together’. The procession will start at 1 pm at metro station ‘Zoloti Vorota’. The march route is the following: Prorizna Street – Khreshchatyk Street – European Square – Volodymyr Descent – Trukhaniv Island. The program of the event also includes singing songs, dancing, different contests etc.

It is worthy reminding that in 2008 the first march gathered only four people. Now thousands of people have joined the event.

How a former ARCHITECT starts making porcelain flowers for DIOR

In the former Soviet Union Volodymyr Kanevskyi worked as an architect. However, in the late ’80s he moved to New York. As his skills were not in demand he started looking for a job. Thus, Volodymyr began making porcelain flowers (botany – is one of the man’s hobbies). The flowers were easier to sell than sculptures the man had planned to make at first. His works became more and more popular.

Atlantean and ‘solar system’ fountain works in Vinnytsia

On the occasion of Europe Day a new fountain started working in Vinnytsia. The composition is presented by the sculpture of Atlantean holding the sun and eight planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Pluto is also nearby. The fountain is surrounded by paths, railings and benches.
