Ukrainian wins gold medal at 2017 Genuis Olympiad
Mykola Ivanchenko, the pupil of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, won the gold medal at 2017 Genius Olympiad held in Oswego, New York, U.S..
The young scientist presented an invention for cleaning water from spilled oil: its hydrophobic adsorbent will collect oil and repel water. The collected oil will be removed from the water by any mechanical method and sent to the oil refining plant.
Mykola has been already invited to participate in another international science competition ‘I-Fest’ in Tunisia where he will immediately go to final selection.

Welcome to the first Cossack games in England!
August 25-27, the first Cossack competition ‘Bazar 2017 – #KozakGames’ will take place in the Ukrainian center of Tarasivka located in the south of England. The program includes: Cossack games; Cossack obstacle course (adult and children); cinema for children; bike ride; fairs, attractions, market, lotteries and prizes; performance by the band Cov Kozaks and DJ Coniak.

Ukrainian film festival ‘Open night’ first in Emirates
June 24, the Ukrainian Film Festival ‘Open Night’ took place in the UAE for the first time.
The festival was attended by over 60 Ukrainians living in four emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ajmani.
‘This night in Abu Dhabi, the Emirates saw that Ukrainian cinema was living and developing fast and inspiredly, so now we are surely waiting for ‘Open Night-2018′ and the Ukrainian Oscars!’, Yevhen Semenov, local activist, wrote on his FB-page.

Borshch holiday in Dusseldorf
Borshch holiday was held in Düsseldorf. The event was accompanied by Ukrainian songs performed by the international choir conducted by the prominent master Felix Sokol. The information was shared by the German-Ukrainian Information and Culture Center.

Welcome to ‘Kukulabia’ agropark in Kyiv!
July 15-16, ‘Kukulabia’ agropark, a place for recreation with family and friends, starts a new season.
The park offers its visitors: a design labyrinth in a cornfield with a total area of 45 000 square meters, length is 2 km; a food court (special attention is paid to healthy eating, organic products and children’s menu); interesting photo zones; a small corn maze for kids;
– a relax zone with poufs and hammocks; picnic zone; themed rides; animators and much more.
The park will work until October 1.
In addition, on weekends the park’s program also includes funs, entertainments, different contests and master classes.
